Band Bio
WDC was formed
back in 1998 by songwriters Pete Couillard and Chad Oliver. They began with two acoustic guitars and vocals and later brought
aboard bassist Jason Bonnell and drummer Steve Ballstadt to complete the band. With amazing response from their first album,
the band decided to kick things up a notch by recording at Vancouvers Greenhouse studios, enlisting the talents of producer/songwriter
Nickelback frontman (also co-owner to 604 Records) Chad Kroeger and engineer Joey Moi.
After seeing another outstanding response, the next step was to start taking their new show up on stage.
Now with
the independent release of WDCs self titled album, the opportunities have been more than the band had hoped for.
In 2002 the
band won Vancouvers
prestigious Seeds Contest, which is put on annually by radio station 99.3 the Fox. By winning the contest, WDC won a spot
on CFOXs Seeds compilation CD. Former winners of the contest include Bif Naked, Nickleback and Matthew Good. And we all know
how things turned out for them
WDCS invigorating
live performances in the past, have acquired them a full tour with Edwin and the Pressure and a sold-out show with Bif Naked
last year. Its no doubt that WDC is one of Vancouvers
hottest tickets!
